Class Information
Pricing
Our prices are based on the length of your classes. After the first class anyone in your household takes, any additional class is discounted 20%. (The first class is considered the longest/highest priced class.)
*Private lessons and solo competition fees are separate and are not included in the above lesson discounts.
All tuition is due the 5th of every month. A late fee will be assessed if tuition is not paid by the 10th of the month. It is recommended you sign up for auto-pay to make sure that you are paying on time every month.
There is a 10% discount if you pay for the full year by September 15th.
Classes Offered
Ballet
An artistic dance form performed to music, using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements. The foundation for all modern, Western, dance forms, ballet is highly recommended for any student wishing to progress beyond a beginner level in any other dance form.
Age: 6yrs – 18yrs
Class Length: 45 minutes – 2 hours

Pointe
Ballet technique performed on the tips of the toes. This is an advanced performing art requiring a high level of ballet technique. Director approval is required.
Age: 11yrs – 18yrs
Class Length: 30 minutes – 45 minutes

Contemporary
A style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. The class aims to instruct dancers on how to interpret music through movement and expression while focusing on strength, form and technique. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you also take ballet since the foundation of contemporary IS ballet.
Age: 7yrs – 18yrs
Class Length: 45 minutes – 1 hour

Modern
A “free” form of dance that emerged in the early 20th century. The class will focus on aspects of Martha Graham and Lester Horton modern technique and as such will emphasize core strength and grounded movements. Improvisation will also be a key aspect of the class. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you also take ballet since the foundation of modern IS ballet.
Age: 8yrs – 18yrs

Jazz
A dynamic form of dance that is characterized by its high energy movements. It is most commonly performed to popular music.
Age: 6yrs – 18yrs
Class Length: 45 minutes – 1 hour

Hip-Hop
A street dance style that is primarily performed to hip-hop music. It includes a wide range of movements that arose from urban culture and can be seen on music videos today.
Age: 7yrs – 18yrs
Class Length: 45 minutes – 1 hour

Attire: Loose fitting and tied to personality. Examples include flannels either on or tied around the waist, joggers, sweatpants, crop hoodies, etc.

Tap
A percussive dance form that is performed wearing shoes fitted with metal plates, characterized by rhythmic movement and emphasizing precision, time and musicality.
Age: 6yrs – 18yrs

Acrobatics
A class designed to improve flexibility, strength and stunts. The student will learn tumbling tricks and stunts from somersaults up to aerials and beyond.

Adult
We offer a wide range of adult classes, depending on interest each year. These classes will be on a punch card system and will include the option to perform in the annual recital.

Mini & Me
A class designed to introduce young children to the fundamentals of movement and music. During class time, the students will learn how to interact in a group setting including listening skills and taking turns. Children will have active lessons in colors, numbers, shapes body part recognition, spatial awareness/directionality, balance, and a myriad of developmentally appropriate gross-motor skills. Instructors will integrate poetry, music, and manipulatives to continually engage and stimulate little minds and bodies. This class will be taken with a parent or guardian present to help and support them through the lessons.
Age: 2yrs -- 4yrs
Class Length: 45 minutes

Creative Movement
A class designed specifically with young children in mind. During class time, the students will learn how to interact in a group setting including listening skills and taking turns. Children will have active lessons in colors, numbers, shapes body part recognition, spatial awareness/directionality, balance, and a myriad of developmentally appropriate gross-motor skills. Instructors will integrate poetry, music, and manipulatives to continually engage and stimulate little minds and bodies. Students will be grouped according to maturity and developmental readiness by the instructors and studio owner.
*Children must be potty-trained and able to take class independently since parents are NOT allowed in the classroom. If they are still uncomfortable being away from their parents (or are not potty-trained), we suggest the Mini & Me class.*
