Every two years, our studio presents a production of Tchaikovsky's famous Christmas Ballet, the Nutcracker. Our next production will be December 2023.

Unlike other studios, who bring in professional guest dancers for the lead rolls, all of our parts are danced by young dancers and their friends and family. All of our production needs are met by members of our studio- moms and older students assist with costumes, parents and older dancers assist with lighting and scenery. All of our backdrops and most of our costumes are handmade. We have also performed in conjunction with the Kutztown University Orchestra.

 

Participation is open to anyone of any ability level over the age of 6 - even those from other studios and Kutztown University. We have hosted many guests from other studios in the area for this event, including Culture Shock and Dance Pointe in Hamburg. Practices include one week summer intensives, to learn the dance, and weekends until the performance.
